KBA-01172: Can I delete a Contact from the Team Contact List on the Project Dashboard?

Question:

Can I delete a Contact from the Team Contact List on the Project Dashboard?

Answer:

You can remove a Contact from the Team Contact list; however, to be clear, this action does not delete the Contact record from the system. The Contact is still available on the Contact Dashboard.

To remove a Contact from the Team Contact list:

  1. Open the options menu for the Contact row.
  2. Select Remove from Team.
  3. Save the part.

You can also control Contacts with three options:

Show/Hide

This option hides a row from the default display on the Project Dashboard but does not remove anyone from the list.

  1. Open the options menu for the Team Contact part.
  2. Select Show Filter. The Show checkboxes will appear.
  3. Check or uncheck the Show checkbox as desired.

Active

Making a team member inactive also hides the team member.  These two team member flags differ in that a hidden contact is still eligible for (and included in) role-based routing. An inactive team member does NOT appear in any lookups and is NOT included in any role-based routing.

  1. Open the options menu for the Contact row.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. Check or uncheck the Active checkbox as desired.
  4. Click the checkmark at the beginning of the row to accept your changes.
  5. Save the Team Contact part.

IsPublic

This option controls if this Contact appears in lookups for this project.  Note that users who have the LIST | Can see all contacts role capability can see both public and private Contacts.

  1. Open the options menu for the Contact row.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. Check or uncheck the Public checkbox as desired.
  4. Click the checkmark at the beginning of the row to accept your changes.
  5. Save the Team Contact part.
