Question:
Where do the numbers on the Executive Summary come from? Can I change the columns of information that appear on the Executive Dashboard?
Answer:
The numbers on the Executive Summary on the Executive Dashboard are a combination of data gathered from internal tables and on-the-fly calculations.
Note: when you first open the Executive Dashboard (which requires you to have both the PAGE | Executive Dashboard and PART | Executive Project Summary role capabilities) you will likely be asked to enter filters. Only after you have clicked the Apply button will you be able to see your columns of resulting information.

You can both get an idea of where the information for a particular column comes from and also change which columns are visible or hidden through the gear settings.
To see what data is included in a column:
- Click the gear icon to open the Columns Settings window.
- Scroll through the list of possible columns. The Description for each explains what information is included in the column.
–
To change which columns are visible:
- Use the checkbox at the beginning of each row to indicate whether the column should be visible. When you close out of the Settings window, you will see your changes.
- If you have the proper permission, you can save your settings as Site Settings by clicking the icon. This will change the grid for all users.

Additional Comments
Values are cached for 5 minutes; therefore, changes made to project accounting may take some time to show up on the user’s Executive Dashboard.
If you want to change the input that goes into the data in the Executive Dashboard, see KBA-01230 and the ExecutiveDashboard Rules.
