Question:
I understand that the tasks available in the Spitfire Mobile Field app are data-driven. How do I specify which tasks are available? And once available, which parts of the document are displayed?
Answer:
The DocTypeConfig | OnMobile rule determines which Doc types are available as “tasks” on the Spitfire Mobile Field app. The rule also indicates which status(es) are available. You can specify a result value of “1” for all documents regardless of status.
Once the Doc type is enabled, documents matching the allowed status list will display on the mobile app.
Data Driven Parts
Some tabs (sections) of the document automatically show the same tabs and fields as the web application.
The Data Driven parts are as follows:
- Doc Side Panel (P-UX), which corresponds to the web document’s left side panel.
- Doc Body (P-UX), which is usually the main “details” panel.
- Doc Notes (P-UX), which is the optional second details panel.
- DocBodyMore, which is shared with the classic UI and only supports the following fields, with Email Subject and Email Text being the most common.
- csFlag
- Email Subject
- Email Text
- No. To Forward
- No. To Send
- Reason
- Section
- Source
Static Parts
Static tabs are as follows:
- Attachments, which shows some information from the web document’s Attachment tab.
- Attendees (Other Subs), which shows information from the web document’s Attendees tab. The Amount and Note fields on this tab are editable. Other information must be entered on the web application, including the addition of attendees.
