- (Build 9571) *A new Combined Document Info option emails you a summary PDF that shows the main data as well as thumbnails of attachments for the documents currently in the document list. If the combined PDF is too large to be attached to the email, the email will provide a download link instead. Note: a Doc Info template is required for this option. If you get a message about needing a template, contact Support for the default template. See also DOC | Document Info PDF (RI)

Rules Maintenance
-
DocTypeConfig
- (Build 9566) The ExpressDocAttachList rule now requires an empty key (00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000) if Any is to be a choice from the Link Documents button on the Attachments tab.

- (Build 9558) *The new OnMobile rule indicates whether a Doc type with specific statuses should appear in Spitfire’s mobile app for iPad. (Note: the app is currently being beta-tested.)
- (Build 9496) The new PreventUISwitch rule indicates whether documents of the indicated Doc type should be prevented from being switched to a different UI (Classic or Power UX).
- (Build 9496) *The new SubtypeSpecificUICFG rule indicates whether this document type has UI that changes when the subtype changes. For backwards compatibility, the rule was added to Doc types that already had subtype-specific UI configurations.
- (Build 9566) The ExpressDocAttachList rule now requires an empty key (00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000) if Any is to be a choice from the Link Documents button on the Attachments tab.
-
ProjectConfig
- (Build 9566) *The new SetShownOnCommit rule indicates whether users on a project team list will see newly committed projects on their Project List by default. This rule is overridden by the Show New Projects checkbox on the Contact Details. See Update Considerations below.
-
RouteConfig
- (Build 9496) *The new IERSFRouteTooOld rule indicates the message to be added to an email in reply to an inbound email that can no longer be attached to a document because of the RouteReplyDays rule. The default message is This email thread has gone stale. Your email is being placed into our triage queue for review. If urgent, please contact someone directly! FYI: This thread about {O} was completed on {1} where {O} is replaced by the document’s title and {1} is replaced by that last route date.
-
WordTemplateConfig
- (Build 9558) *The new DefaultDateFormat rule indicates the default prefix to be used for date bookmarks in templates when no other format is specified in the template. The default for this rule is Fd_ (mm/dd/yyyy).
- (Build 9496) *The new DefaultImageFormatWidth rule indicates the default width for thumbnails generated for FIMG_ or RRIMG_ bookmarks.
- (Build 9558) The new IMGFileTypesAsm, IMGFileTypesFile, and IMGFileTypesSent rules indicate the types of files to be included in the corresponding AsmIMG_DocKey, FileIMG_DocKey and SentIMG_DocKey bookmarks. These rules have appropriate defaults and do not need to be specified unless you want additional control. The file types allowed must support thumbnailing: IMG, JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, DOCX, XLSX, and PDF.
- (Build 9558) The new IncludeParts rule indicates the document part names to be included in FPART_ALL_Visible bookmarks. The default is DocMeta;DocBodyForm;DocBodyForm2;DocBodyMore. Part names are defined in xsfUIPart.
- (Build 9525) The new TrackRevisions rule indicates whether native Revision Tracking should be enabled on files created from Microsoft Word templates. Many Microsoft Word documents now have this enabled by default so this rule defaults to disabling Revision Tracking for backward compatibility.
Update Considerations
Show New Projects Checkbox for Contacts
- What: The Show New Projects checkbox that appears on the Connections tab of a Contact Details will now default to No (unchecked).
- Why: A new rule governs whether projects should be shown on a user’s Project List. That ProjectConfig | SetShownOnCommit rule defaults to No so the checkbox default was set to match.
- Potential Problem: User who had gotten used to seeing all their projects right away on the Projects List may notice that some projects appear missing.
- Solution: Either train users to expect projects to appear on the Project List only when they are Committed, or check the Show New Projects checkbox for specific users.
Express Doc Attach for Any Doc Type
- What: The ExpressDocAttachList rule now requires an empty key to indicate “Any” as the Doc type choice in Power UX. (See above)
- Why: The internal workings of Power UX required this change.
- Potential Problem: Sites who switch from Classic UI to Power UX might find the “Any” choice missing.
- Solution: Add the rule to DocTypeConfig. See KBA-01154.
Doc Info (to PDF) and Combined Document Info Options
- What: These two new options require a Doc Info template and a new role capability.
- Why: The template indicates how data and thumbnails should appear in the PDF. Permission for this option is granted through a new role capability.
- Potential Problem: Users might not see the option, might get a message about a missing template, or might not like the format of the PDF.
- Solution: Ask Support for a default template if there is no template and/or change the template as desired. See KBA-01920. Also, add the DOC | Document Info PDF (RI) to appropriate roles.
