Question:
When I try to open Spitfire on my workstation, I get a dialog box with the following error message: Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. Policy level ‘Enterprise‘ could not be saved.
Answer:
This error message occurs when the user doesn‘t have sufficient rights on the workstation to save a setting to the workstation‘s policy information.
Solution A:
Log in as administrator and open the Spitfire website. Once the Spitfire website information is saved on the workstation, the standard user will be able to access the Spitfire website without getting the error message.
Solution B:
Change the user‘s rights on the workstation to the Power User level.
Additional Comments:
If you have multiple Spitfire websites (for example, Live and Test), each website will need to be accessed by a user with rights to save the updated policy data.
