Question:
Why does ICTool insist that the Install Base Path is invalid?
Answer:
The Install Base Path is entered near the bottom of the SERVERS tab page in ICTool. During startup, ICTool normally detects the correct value for this configuration item and offers to set the value if necessary. For example, many installations use
C:Program Files (x86)SpitfireInstallBase
If ICTool reports that the path is invalid, it is almost certainly because the PullUpdate folder with the install base has been deleted (or otherwise made inaccessible).
