Overview:
The WBAConfig rules control various optional behavior of the work-breakdown-account category.
The WBAConfig rule group is found in the Rules Maintenance tool on the System Admin Dashboard. Each rule in the group consists of a rule name and a result value.
Filter Value:
None
The WBAConfig rules do not use filter values.
Result Value:
Varies
Result values for the WBAConfig rules depend on the rule and are indicated within the description of each rule.
Rules:
ContractValue
Specifies (in the result value) the Account Category that should be used to track Contract Value. This is typically type NA (non accounting) because it is neither revenue or expense.
Freight
Specifies (in the result value) the Account Category that should be used to track shipping expenses. The result value accepts any Account Category from the Account Categories tool.
OwnerDirect
Specifies (in the result value) the Account Category that should be used for Project Costs that will be paid directly by the Owner. This Account Category should be type Revenue, but will not touch your receivables. This rule applies to all supported accounting systems.
RemittedTax
Specifies (in the result value) the Account Category that should be used to track the portion of expenses that are attributed to the tax remitted to vendors. Once identified, this amount can be used to offset Use Tax liability. The result value accepts an Account Category from the Account Categories tool. The Account Category should be dedicated to remitted sales tax expenses.
RemittedTaxHandling
Specifies (in the result value) the TaxHandling code (as defined in the Code Maintenance tool) that should be used as the default for new Commitments.
- NT = the Commitment will not deal with tax (default).
- TA = the Commitment allows tax to be added.
- TI = the Commitment includes a tax amount.
Revenue
Specifies (in the result value) the Account Category that should be used for Revenue by default. The default is REVENUE.
SelfPerform
Specifies (in the result value) the Account Category that should be used by default for Self Perform Change Item Tasks. The default is LABOR.
Subcontract
Specifies (in the result value) the Account Category that should be used for subcontracted expenses. This Account Category is used internally to summarize the value of Commitments and CCOs when applying allocations and markups (in other words, the Commitment might have lines for subcontracted labor, subcontracted materials and tax, but the allocation and markup checks/compares the total value against any entry for the Account Category specified here). The result value accepts an Account Category from the Account Categories tool. The default is SUBCONTRACT. Changes to this rule may require a recyle to take effect (particularly for Change Item import). Note: You may also wish to review DocItemConfig | DefaultAcctCategory for the Commitment document type!
UOP
Specifies (in the result value) the Account Category that should be used for Units of Production. If you are integrated with Microsoft Dynamics SL, the default is read from PJControl. Otherwise, the default is UOP. This account category should be type “non accounting”.
UsePostedContractValue
Specifies (in the result value checkbox) if the KPI should use the amount posted to the ContractValue account.
- checked = use the value as posted in the ContractValue account.
- unchecked = calculate the contract value by adding approved Change Orders to the original contract (default)
UseSOVBilling
[V23+] Specifies (in the result value checkbox) whether a site integrated with Dynamics SL should use the SOV Billing amounts for Billed To Date and AR Retention in the KPI. Otherwise, values will be obtained from Dynamic SL’s posted AR. This rule has no affect on sites integrated with other accounting systems, and is generally used for testing purposes only.
- checked = use SOV Billing amounts.
- unchecked = use DSL’s posted AR amounts (default)
