The Document Page capability can be assigned to users via roles, often filtered by Document Type and Project. The following permissions for this capability can be assigned:
- Read – to provide a user with the ability to open and read all non-confidential documents.
- Insert – to provide a user with the ability to create new documents.
- Update – to provide a user with the ability to edit any document, at any time in its lifecycle. Because of the unrestricted ability to edit, this permission should rarely be assigned. See KBA-01084 for additional information on how users are granted update access to documents during its normal lifecyle and circulation.
- Special – to provide a user with the ability to re-open a document. This permission should very rarely be assigned.
