Commitment Budget Comparison Report

This report lists how Commitment line Items compare to the budget. This report is available from a Commitment or CCO’s Option menu (Commitment-vs-Budget) as well as the Report Browser. 

Note: a This Allocation column, not shown in the picture above, appears when the report is run from the Commitment or CCO document.

Filters

  • Project – the Project ID.  You can look up or type a specific project, or use the % mask for multiple projects.
  • Subcontract – the Commitment. You can select a Commitment from the drop-down only after you indicate a specific project.
    Note: this filter appears only if you select the report from the Report Browser.
  • Show Detail – whether or not the report should include Account Category information.
  • Output – where you want the report data. You can select Excel, Raw CSV or keep the Screen/PDF default.

Columns

  • Ref # – a) the Project ID and b) the Cost Code.
  • Description – a) the Project Title and b) the Cost Code description and (if Show Details is on) the Account Category.
  • Budget: Current – the current budget (EAC) amount for the Cost Code (and Account Category).
  • Budget: Pending CO – the amount on Pending Change Orders for the Cost Code (and Account Category).
  • Committed Amounts: Original – the original amount on all Commitments for the Cost Code (and Account Category).
  • Committed Amounts: Approved COs – the amount on Approved CCOs for the Cost Code (and Account Category).
  • Committed Amounts: Pending – the amount from Pending CCOs and Pending Commitmets for the Cost Code (and Account Category).
  • Committed Amounts: Total w/Pending – the sum of Original Amount plus Approved CCOs plus Pending CCOs for the Cost Code (and Account Category).
  • Committed Amounts: Remaining to Commit – the Current EAC amount plus the Pending Budget CO amount minus Total w/Pending amount for the Cost Code (and Account Category).
  • This Allocation – the amount of the current Commitment or CCO for the Cost Code (and Account Category).  When run from the context of a Commitment or CCO, these amounts are treated as if the source document was approved.  From a commitment, the amount is included in the Original Amount; from a CCO, the amount is included in the Approved CO command.
  • Paid – the sum of Approved Pay Requests for the Cost Code (and Account Category).

Note: all dollar amount columns are subtotaled by Account Category and Cost Code then totaled by Project.  There is a Grand Total at the bottom of the list.
