Document Creation

While there are some exceptions and alternate ways to create certain Doc Types, almost all documents can be created from the Project Dashboard, and some can be created from other documents. Most documents are associated with a specific project. Bid, Bid Package, Estimate, Invitation to Bid, Task, Customer, Vendor, and Employee documents can begin without a Project ID.

To create a document from the Project Dashboard:

  1. Go to the Project Dashboard and locate the desired Doc Type from the Documents menu.
    Note: Click +More… to access all Doc Types.
  2. Click the Doc Type to access the list for that Doc Type on the right-hand side.
  3. Click Add to create a new document of that Doc Type.
  4. After completing the necessary fields in the Document Header, click Save.
