Question:
When I try to start the dashboard, Internet Explorer displays the message ‘You are not authorized to view this page‘ with code 403 – Forbidden. Why does this happen?
Answer:
As the message indicates: You might not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied. One very likely cause is that you failed to provide the proper application name on your URL. For example, if the proper URL is http://yourDomain.com/sfPMS/, you will get this message if you use http://yourDomain.com/ by mistake.
Additional Comments:
Your site administrator might choose to place a file (index.htm) into the root of the application server. If the administrator does so, this root page will be displayed instead of the message.
