Overview:
The CodeSetRedirect rule group indicates the code set plus Doc type combinations that should be redirected to another Doc type.
The CodeSetRedirect rule group is found in the Rules Maintenance tool on the System Admin Dashboard. Each rule in the group consists of a rule name, a filter value and a result value.
Filter Values:
Any Doc type
The CodeSetRedirect rules accept a Doc type (as defined in the Doc Types tool and appearing on the filter drop-down) as the filter value. This is the Doc type that will get codes from another Doc type.
Result Values:
Any Doc type
The CodeSetRedirect rules accept any Doc type (as defined in the Doc Types tool and appearing on the result drop-down) as the result value. This is the Doc type with codes that will flow to the other Doc type.
Rules:
DateList
Specifies (in the result value) the Doc type that should flow the Date types (defined in the Date Types tool) into the filter Doc type. For example, the Date types will be redirected from the result value Doc type (Project Setup) to the filter Doc type (Bid).
DocReference
Specifies (in the result value) the Doc type that should flow the References (defined in the Reference tool) into the filter Doc type. In other words, the References will be redirected from the result Doc type (Commitment) to the filter Doc type (Vendor).
Any Code set
Specifies (in the result value) the Doc type that should use the codes in the indicated code set (as defined in the Code Maintenance tool) from the filter Doc type. The codes will flow from the Result Value Doc type into the Filter Value Doc type.
Additional Comments:
Remember that rules are cached. Open documents will not show your changes, but they will appear on new documents.
