KBA-01819: The tab present in the reparse point buffer is invalid

Question:

• When opening BFA I am getting the following error message. What does it mean?
  An error – The tag present in the reparse point buffer is invalid. Occurred loading data.

• I tried to rename a folder and received the following error message. What does it mean?
  An unexpected error is keeping you from renaming the folder. If you continue to receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem. Error 0x80071129: the tag present in the reparse point buffer is invalid.
